The theory test training is included in your lessons.
Assistance will be given with the Theory and Hazard Perception Exam.

• This will include a free loan of the CD-ROM 'Driving Test'. This CD-ROM provides you with the entire, official DSA driving theory question bank;
• the chance to watch 8 official DSA hazard perception video clips;
• a copy of the official highway code;
• a virtual exam mode which simulates the actual test and allows you to sit realistic mock Theory and Hazard Perception tests.
• A free loan of a book containing all the theory questions.

You can take driving lessons before passing your theory test, in fact, this is advisable as it will aid you in hazard perception development.

Where? At your local test centre, this will usually be Saltcoats.
When? Every weekday (from 08.40 to 15.30), and occassionally, some evening and weekends.
How long? 40 minutes.
What's involved?

• Eyesight check. This will be checked before the test by your instructor.
• Show me, Tell me questions. These are covered as part of your comprehensive training.
• Driving on a varied route. Come your test day you will be familiar with the areas used for the test. Motorways are not included.
• 2 manoeuvre's and possible 1 emergency stop. You will be very good at these come the day of your test.

How much? Currently costs are £56.50 on weekdays, and £67.00 during weekends and evenings where available.
What do you need? I will provide the car; all you need to bring is yourself, your appointment letter, your theory pass certificate and both parts of your driving licence.
